QR System For Petrol Vehicles To Be Reinstated From Midnight Today

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has announced that the QR system for petrol vehicles will be reinstated starting from midnight today.

The Chairman of the CPC, D.J. Rajakaruna, stated that the previous fuel quotas for petrol vehicles will be reactivated accordingly.

Due to the festive season, the CPC had taken steps to suspend the QR requirement for petrol vehicles from midnight on April 11th until midnight today. During that period, fuel was issued based on the odd-even license plate system.

However, the QR system remained fully operational for diesel vehicles throughout this time. With this update, the QR system will be active for all vehicles starting from midnight today.
