Two Injured in Bus Collision Near Hambantota Port Police

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Two people were injured in an accident involving a bus and a heavy vehicle near the Hambantota Port early this morning.

According to the police, a Sri Lanka Transport Board bus traveling from Hambantota to Colombo has collided with a backhoe loader.

There were approximately 10 passengers on board the bus at the time of the collision.

Two individuals were injured, including the bus conductor.

Police have taken both the bus driver and the backhoe loader driver into custody following the incident.
