Sri Lanka Expects Major Fuel Shipments Through Mid-April

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka is set to receive several fuel shipments over the coming weeks, including diesel, petrol, jet fuel and furnace oil, according to information released by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC).

A vessel carrying an additional 37,000 metric tons of diesel is scheduled to arrive in the country the day after tomorrow.

The CPC said another vessel carrying 30,000 litres of Octane 92 petrol and 5,000 litres of Octane 95 petrol is due to arrive in Sri Lanka on the 27th of this month.

In addition, under a fuel tender issued on March 17, several more fuel tankers are expected to reach the country next month.

According to the schedule, two vessels carrying 37,000 metric tons of diesel each are due to arrive on April 6, 7 and 8.

A shipment of 30,000 metric tons of furnace oil is scheduled to arrive on April 12 and 13.

Two vessels carrying 35,000 metric tons of Jet A1 fuel are expected on April 10 and 11, while another shipment of 30,000 metric tons of petrol is due to arrive on April 16 and 17.
