Salary Commission To Address Public Sector Pay Gaps

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya says that a salary commission will be appointed to address salary discrepancies in the public service. 

She stated that the commission is expected to provide solutions to the salary issues that exist in many sectors.

Responding to a question raised in Parliament, the Prime Minister said that the salary discrepancies in the principals’ sector will also be presented to the salary commission.
