Police Seize Massive Haul Of Drugs Across The Country

COLOMBO(News 1st) - The police have seized 212 kilograms of heroin so far this year.

Since January 1, 209 kilograms of Crystal Methamphetamine or Ice have also been seized during police operations.

Additionally, 323 kilograms of Cannabis, 88 kilograms of hashish, and 4 kilograms of cocaine have been seized.

The total number of illegal drugs confiscated by the police has reached 700,000 units.

The police also reported that the 1818 hotline, established to receive information on poisonous drugs, has so far received 4,766 calls.
