Vocational Training Offered After Drug Rehabilitation

COLOMBO (News 1st); A special programme has been launched at the Welikanda Senapura Rehabilitation Centre for individuals addicted to narcotics who voluntarily seek rehabilitation.

Commissioner General of Rehabilitation, Brigadier M. S. Amit, stated that after completing a three-month rehabilitation period, participants will also be provided with vocational training to enable them to secure employment and sustain their livelihoods.

The Commissioner General further urged young men and women addicted to narcotics to come forward without delay and voluntarily enter rehabilitation programmes to rebuild their lives.
