Jaffna Councilor Nabbed with 4kg of Kerala Cannabis

COLOMBO (News 1st); A member of the Nallur Pradeshiya Sabha has been arrested after police discovered 4 kilograms and 800 grams of Kerala cannabis at his residence this morning.

The suspect is a councilor representing the Tamil Arasu Party, according to police sources.

The arrest was made during a raid at his home, where the large stock of cannabis was seized.

Authorities confirmed that the councilor will be produced before court later today.
