President Dissanayake In Japan Visit

COLOMBO(News 1st); President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will be on an Official Visit to Japan from today until the 30th.

This visit, undertaken at the invitation of the Government of Japan, will include an audience with His Majesty the Emperor of Japan.

President Dissanayake will also hold a summit meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, focusing on a wide range of issues of mutual importance.

In Tokyo, the President is scheduled to address a Business Forum with the participation of senior representatives from leading Japanese businesses and investors.

On Sri Lanka Day at the “EXPO 2025 Osaka,” President Dissanayake will take part as a Guest of the Government of Japan. The event aims to showcase Sri Lanka’s cultural heritage and economic potential before the international community.

The President will also address members of the Sri Lankan expatriate community living in Japan during this visit.

President Dissanayake, who successfully concluded his visit to the United States, departed for Japan from John F. Kennedy International Airport last night.

He had left Sri Lanka on Monday night, commencing his tour of the United States and Japan.
