Billions Of Public Funds Misused, Says Deputy Minister

COLOMBO (News 1st): Over Eight Billion Rupees have reportedly been misused without the approval of the Board of Governors of the Central Cultural Fund (CCF).

Deputy Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Gamagedara Dissanayake said a committee appointed to investigate the matter has revealed this information.

The Minister added that, following the committee’s final report, legal action will be taken against those responsible for the misuse of public funds, regardless of their status.
