Colombo (News 1st): Milad-un-Nabi, which marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad, is being observed today with religious events across the world.

Revered as the final messenger of Allah, he preached a message of love, peace, and compassion, offering humanity a way of life built on justice, respect, and harmony.

Muslims worldwide are marking the occasion with prayers, sermons, processions, and acts of charity, honoring the Prophet who dedicated his life to building a humane and dignified society.

Issuing a message to mark this day, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said the example of the Prophet Mohamed provides an unfailing light in overcoming present challenges and in building a virtuous, law-abiding, and equal society.

He also invited everyone to make this year’s Milad-un-Nabi more meaningful by bringing the Prophet’s true example closer to their lives.
