Aswesuma Phase Two Preparations Enter Final Stage

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Welfare Benefits Board says that the process of gathering information from beneficiaries under the second phase of the Aswesuma scheme is now 95 percent complete.

Chairman Jayantha Wijerathna said that the process was conducted based on applications submitted by low-income families through each Divisional Secretariat Division.

He said that only those who meet the necessary qualifications will be selected based on the information provided.

Accordingly, the Chairman noted that the Board is ready to proceed with payments once the selection process is finalized.
