Sri Lanka hands over Chairmanship of SAARC Development Fund

COLOMBO (News1st); Sri Lanka has concluded its chairmanship of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Development Fund.

Sri Lanka's leadership of the SAARC Development Fund was formally handed over at the organization's seventh Governing Council meeting, held in Tbilisi, Georgia.

State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, expressed gratitude to member states for their continued support and cooperation during Sri Lanka's chairmanship, to fulfil and further advancement of the goals and objectives of the SAARC Development Fund.  

The chairmanship was passed on to Bangladesh's Minister of Finance Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali.
