COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's President Ranil Wickremesinghe in an interview to German Media said the island nation will not call for an international inquiry into the Easter Sunday attacks.

Wickremesinghe engaged in a fiery interview with DW, in the wake of recent revelations by Channel 4 that alleged state involvement in the “worst terrorist episode of Sri Lanka.”

“You take a piece of paper from the cardinal and you are holding it over me. Have you spoken to the bishop’s conference? You have no right to ask me this question” Wickremesinghe said.

Wickremesinghe slammed the allegations levelled in the documentary aired by British television network Channel 4.

Speaking to Martin Gak from Deutsche Welle, Wickremesingne said "You are talking nonsense. You have no right to ask me this question. You think we are second class? You need to take this western attitude out. You stop it, I stop it. We go off.”

Wickremesinghe further alleged that numerous intelligence agencies, including the US, Indian, and Pakistani, have reported that there was no outside involvement in the attacks.
