COLOMBO (News 1st); Sugarcane cultivation spanning over 10,000 acres affected due to the lack of water.
CEO of Sevanagala Sugar Industries, Gamini Rasaputhra told News 1st that operations at the sugar factory have been crippled.
He said if sufficient rainfall is not received within two weeks, it would be nearly impossible to continue with the operations of the sugar factory.
