COLOMBO (News 1st) - A group of 20 petroleum workers including trade unionists who were sent on compulsory leave on allegations of engaging in a strike will meet former president Mahinda Rajapaksa on Saturday (01).
The meeting will be held at the former president's residence in Colombo.
They are also set to meet opposition leader Sajith Premadasa and former president Maithripala Sirisena in the next few days regarding the matter.
The petroleum trade unionists also lodged a complaint with the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka against the matter.
In the meantime, disciplinary inquiries on the 20 employees who were sent on compulsory leave will begin on Monday (03).
