CPC assures a continuous supply of fuel

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation said that fuel is being continuously supplied to all filling stations island-wide.

However, long queues can still be seen at petrol stations islandwide.

The News 1st Correspondents said that a group including the parents of the candidates who are scheduled to sit for the G.C.E Ordinary Level examination which starts today (23) were also waiting in line at night to purchase fuel.

Meanwhile, officers who are in charge of examination duties alleged that fuel was NOT being distributed at certain filling stations.
