COLOMBO (News 1st); The Department of Meteorology announced that showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in North-central, North-western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva provinces and Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 PM on Thursday (24).

Further, the Department of Met announced that a few showers have occurred in the Western coastal areas during the morning.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
