Lockdown violators cross 61,000 mark

COLOMBO (News 1st): Police said that another 718 persons have been taken into custody on charges of violating lockdown regulations. The suspects were arrested within 24 hours from 6:00 a.m. yesterday (28) until 6:00 a.m. today (29). Accordingly, the total number of persons arrested in connection with the violation of lockdown regulations is 61,001. Moreover, Police has inspected 1,258 vehicles and 2,082 persons entering and exiting the Western Province yesterday (28).
