COLOMBO (News 1st); The number of towns going into self-isolation in the country is gradually increasing by the day.
Traders, as well as locals, have taken measures to close down their neighborhoods given the spike in COVID numbers in recent days.
On Wednesday (18), the Towns of Batapola, Divulapitiya, Baduragoda, Maradagahamula, Ambalantota, Pallebedda & Udawala in Ratnapura, Yatawatte in Matara, and the Trincomalee have gone into self-imposed lockdown.
All these towns will remain closed for a period of 10 to 14 days as measures prevent the spread of COVID-19.
At the same time many traders in Pettah, Colombo also closed down their operations for two weeks.
