Sri Lanka begins to bury COVID-19 victims

Colombo (News 1st); The process of burying those who die of COVID-19 commenced on Friday (05), said Army Commander General Shavendra Silva.

Speaking to News 1st the Head of the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) speaking to News 1st said 02 bodies were buried in a location identified by the Ministry of Health in the Oddamavadi Divisional Secretariat, in the Batticaloa District. Another 05 bodies will be buried late on Friday (05), he added. The bodies of other COVID-19 victims placed in other parts of the country will be buried at the said location on Saturday (06), said the Army Commander.
