Sajith clarifies stance on East Terminal

Colombo, News 1st ; Speaking to the media today, Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa replied to a report published in a weekend news paper that stated that the main opposition party, the Samagi Jana Balavegaya, had not yet announced their stance on the East Container Terminal Clarifying his stance, the Opposition Leader stated that it is the Government that has betrayed their mandate with the proposed agreement and called for explanations on their decision to backtrack on their campaign promises. He further added that it is the responsibility of this Government to respect the peoples' needs.
