Rating agencies wrongly branding Sri Lanka as "bankrupt" : Basil

COLOMBO (News1st): Rating agencies and financial institutions are attempting to brand Sri Lanka as a bankrupt country, former minister Basil Rajapaksa has said. He pointed out that the country has done well to meet its foreign debt obligations amidst the pandemic. Rajapaksa made these remarks at the Southern Province committee meeting at the Ruhunu University auditorium in Matara that was attended by several ministers. Matters identified through the ''Gama Samanga Pilisandarak'' village-level program, which were incorporated in the 2021 budget, are to be implemented through this initiative.
