COLOMBO (News1st): Two whales believed to have died two days ago have washed up on the Panadura coast on Wednesday. This comes days after the biggest mass stranding of these mammals in Sri Lanka, among which seven whales and a dolphin have died. The beaching of more than 100 pilot whales saw rescue teams and volunteers joining hands to return them to the ocean. However, some whales that lost their lives had washed up on the Panadura coast. Their carcasses were buried following a post-mortem examination.
