Minuwangoda COVID-19 cluster grows

49 new COVID-19 cases reported on Thursday (15) - Army Commander

Colombo (News 1st); 49 new COVID-19 cases were reported on Thursday (14) said Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, who is also the Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

According to the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak 13 of these cases were reported from Quarantine Facilities.

36 others were close contacts of COVID-19 cases.

Accordingly, the total number of COVID-19 from the Minuwangoda cluster rose to 1770.

The total number of confirmed cases in Sri Lanka rose to 5219 with 1826 patients in hospitals and 3380 recoveries.
