Two arrested for illegally transporting gold by sea

COLOMBO (News1st): Two suspects were arrested for illegally transporting gold in the Northern seas, the Navy said. The arrest had been carried out by the Navy and the Department of Coast Conservation. Five kilograms of gold that were being transported by the suspects were seized during the operation. The suspects, aged 30 and 32, have been handed over to the Customs office in Jaffna.
