Sri Lanka To Repay US$1 Billion In Foreign Debt This Year

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Ministry of Finance states that plans have been made to pay 1 billion US dollars in foreign debt this year.

The ministry stated that foreign debt installments of 1 billion US dollars were also paid last year.

During the elapsed period of this year, the Inland Revenue Department, Sri Lanka Customs, and the Excise Department have earned revenues exceeding their expected targets.

It is a strong support for economic stability.

The Ministry of Finance stated that all plans have been made to strengthen government revenue by exceeding revenue targets in the final quarters of the year as well.
