Colombo (News 1st); Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) Ship Sindurala towed a distressed Kenyan flagged vessel to shore for repairs, recently.

The vessel had signaled distress, following an overall power failure off 170 nautical miles (306 km) from Galle, said Sri Lanka Navy Spokesman Captain Indika De Silva.

According to the Defence Ministry website, the vessel HORAKHTY, with 13 crew on-board, heading to Port of Mombasa in Kenya had experienced the power failure on-board.

The ship sailed for its next port of call last night after completing repairs.
