COLOMBO (News 1st): As of Sunday (July 19) the total number confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka has risen to 2704, according to latest figures from the Epidemiology Unit at the Ministry of Health.
Seven more people tested positive for the virus on Saturday (July 18).
According to the Government Information Department, among the new cases confirmed on Saturday are, five case contacts of Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre – Kandakadu and an inmate at the Senapura Rehabilitation Centre.
The case contacts of Kandakadu rehab centre who tested positive for the virus are from Homagama and Lankapura.
There are 670 active COVID-19 patients receiving treatment.
The total number of recoveries in the country increased to 2023, after 11 patients were discharged on Saturday following recovery.
