AKD petition against Avant-Garde complaint at PCoI taken up at Appeal Court

Colombo (News 1st); The petition filed by JVP Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake seeking an order to prevent the examination of a complaint filed by the Chairman of Avant-Garde Nissanka Senathipathi at the Presidential Commission of Inquiry probing incidents of Public Sector Political Victimisation during the former government, will be called up for consideration on the 20th of July.
The matter was called up in the presence of the President of the Court of Appeal Justice A.H.M.D Nawaz and Justice Sobitha Rajakaruna.
In the petition, Anura Kumara Dissanayake also requested the Court of Appeal to invalidate the notice issued on him, by the Presidential Commission of Inquiry naming him as a respondent in the complaint filed by the Chairman of Avant-Garde.
