Bond scam culprits won't be released from accusations although CBSL recovers losses

COLOMBO (News1st): United National Party (UNP) member Jinasiri Dadallage has said that those responsible for the bond scam will not be released from their accusations even if the losses are recovered by the central bank. "Just because the loss was covered, it does not justify what the wrongdoers did," Dadallage told reporters. He added that those found guilty by the courts must be punished. The UNP parliamentary election candidate said that he cannot definitely determine whether there are rogues in his party as claimed by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya. "It can be the case. You can call someone a wrongdoer, only if he was proven guilty," he stressed. "We tell any party, if someone is proven guilty of stealing, he should be called a thief."
