Crew transfer flight from Belgium lands at the MRIA

Colombo (News 1st); A special charter flight, Boeing 737-800 operated by "Enter Air" arrived at Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA) on Thursday from Brussels, Belgium for a crew transfer.

It is due to transfer 43 crew members to a cruise ship anchored at Galle Har

bor in Southern Sri Lanka and 35 ship crew members are to depart on the return flight.

Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Limited (AASL) made all the required arrangements to provide accommodation facilities for the crew in strict accordance with the safety guidelines of the Sri Lanka Health Authorities.

Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA) in a Facebook post said it is poised to become a hub for international ship crew changes.

The post added, Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Limited (AASL) has taken a thorough interest in connecting the maritime and aviation industries.
