Another special repatriation flight operated by SriLankan Airlines carrying 113 Sri Lankans from Coimbatore, India arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport, this afternoon. Sri Lankan Airlines flight departed for Coimbatore International Airport, additional Secretary to the President for Foreign Relations, Admiral Jayanath Colombage said. The flight had arrived in the island at 12:15 PM. Admiral Colombage further said that all students who are repatriated will be directed for quarantine for a period of 21 days and will also be subjected to PCR testing. Admiral Colombage noted that around 1,000 Sri Lankan students in India and 80 students in Bangladesh will be repatriated systematically. Meanwhile, of the 34 Sri Lankans who were stranded at international airports, 20 Sri Lankan citizens have been repatriated. He further added that they were repatriated from Dubai, Maldives, Singapore and the United Kingdom, adding all the returnees were directed for quarantine.
