COLOMBO (News 1st): The police curfew, which is currently in effect for the districts of Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam will be lifted at 5:00 am on Monday, the 27th of April. The Police Headquarters issued a statement on Saturday (25th April), concerning island-wide police curfew imposed in a bid to curb the spread of COVID-19. "Police curfew for the Warakapola police division of the Kegalle district, Alawathugoda police division of the Kandy district and Akkareipattu police division in Ampara, will also be lifted at 5:00 am on Monday," the Police Headquarters said in its statement. For all other districts, the curfew that was re-imposed at 8 pm yesterday, will again be relaxed on Monday at 5:00 am. Furthermore, entering and exiting the districts of Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam is strictly prohibited. However, the police statement does mention of a specific time or date, of reimposing the curfew for Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam districts.
