More than 500 people complete quarantine process

COLOMBO (New1st): More than 500 people who were quarantined upon arriving in the country returned to their homes today (March 27), becoming the fourth batch to do so. Those who left the quarantine centre today, had arrived from Italy, Iran and South Korea. "I believe that if we conduct ourselves in a disciplined manner, we can reduce the number of affected patients in the country," Army Commander Lt. Gen. Shavendra Silva said. The Army Commander heads the National Operation Centre for the Prevention of COVID-19. The group of people who left the quarantine centre in Punani this morning, expressed satisfaction over the manner in which the exercise was carried out for 14 days. "We wish to thank the government for this exercise," one person said. "They provided us several facilities". Another added ;  ''We feel sad to leave this place as  it has been similar to our homes".
