Evidence examination in the case filed against 08 defendants including Chairman of Avant Garde Maritime Services Major Nissanka Senadhipathi will commence on the 04th of May.
The decision was made by the Permanent High Court Trial-at-Bar.
The Attorney General filed the case under a series of charges including the illegal possession weapons and ammunition aboard the MV Avant Garde without any legal document.
Justices Dhammika Ganegoda, Adithya Patabandige and Manjula Thilakeratne ordered for summons to be issued on the Deputy Commander Southern Naval Area of the Southern Naval Command, who is also the 09th witness in the case to appear in court on the 04th of May.
