Two suspects in custody for the death of a rally attendee

Colombo (News 1st): Police said, two suspects are currently being interrogated over the death of an individual, which took place on the 2nd of this month, following his participation in a political rally. News 1st correspondent in the area said the final rights of the deceased took place yesterday (November 7). The victim was a 63-year-old resident of Mudungoda, Gampaha. He had left his residence around 11:30 am on November 2nd, to attend a public rally in Ganemulla. The victim who attended the public rally with a group of villagers had not returned. Subsequently, the victim's family had lodged a complaint at the police. The son of the victim speaking to the media noted that the autopsy revealed that his father was hit hard on the head.
