New Forest Reserves to Be Gazetted in Six Districts

COLOMBO (News1st);Environment Minister Dr. Dhammika Patabendi states that 20 more forests across 6 districts will be declared as forest reservations via a gazette notification tomorrow.
He stated that 20 reserves in the Anuradhapura, Nuwara Eliya, Kegalle, Badulla, Vavuniya, and Ampara districts will be gazetted in this manner.
The Minister added that steps will also be taken to open a forestry museum in conjunction with this.
