Colombo (News 1st): The National Building Research Organization says that the Air Quality Index reading has improved slightly across the Colombo district as well as the North-Western, Northern provinces.

Generally, the air quality index in Colombo city should be below 40, however, yesterday (November 07) the figure was at 148. He said that such a situation is being reported in many Asian countries. According to reports, air pollution in India’s capital Delhi has reached more than 20 times the World Health Organization’s safe limit.
