Fishing community requested to remain vigilant

Colombo (News 1st): The Meteorological Department noted that a low pressure area has developed in the north Andaman sea and adjoining South-east Bay of Bengal Sea. They add that it is very likely to move north-westwards and concentrate into a depression during next 06 hours. Further the Met department noted that it is also likely to intensify further into a cyclonic storm and move north-westwards during subsequent 48 hours. Heavy showers or thundershowers, strong winds and rough seas are expected in the above sea areas. The Met department requests the naval and fishing communities to be vigilant in this regards.
