Central Environmental Authority stated that during the past 6 months they filed cases against 400 individuals who manufactured illegal polythene. 3. Former ministers Athauda Seneviratne and W.P. The Public Service Commission has approved the appointment of Senior Additional Solicitor General Sanjaya Rajaratnam as Acting Solicitor General of the Attorney General’s Department. 5. The Navy in coordination with the Sinnakudiirippu Police conducted a search in the general area of Sinnakudiirippu, Kalpitiya and apprehended a person with 658 conch shells. 6. The Postal Department says two teams from the Engineering Faculties of the Colombo and the Kelaniya universities have been deployed to restore public service connectivity that has been broken due to a malfunction in the computer network. 7. The Department of Examinations states that the 2019 General Information Technology Exam will commence on the 14th of this month and will end on the 21st. 8.
