RDA issues notice to highway motorists concerning current weather

Colombo (News 1st) - The Road Development Authority advises motorists who travel on the highway to switch on the headlights of their vehicles due to the prevailing inclement weather. Director of the Maintenance and Management Unit of Highway Operations, S. Opanayake advises the motorists to adhere to a speed limit of 60kmph on the highway. Meanwhile, the road leading to the Southern Expressway entrance in Welipenna has been further flooded preventing smaller vehicles from entering the highway, according to the Road Development Authority.
