Minuwangoda unrest: 4 freed, 15 released on bail

COLOMBO (News 1st) - 19 suspects who were in police custody in connection to recent events of unrest were produced before the Minuwangoda Magistrate earlier today. 15 suspects were granted bail while 4 of them were freed of the charges against them. Producing the suspects in court, Police demanded action to be taken against them under the provisions of the Penal Code. Accordingly, 15 suspects were released on two sureties of of Rs. 200,000 each. Police noted that other four suspects were not involved in the incidents and thereby court ordered their release.
