Indian coast guard arrest 9 Iranians with over 100 kg of heroin

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Indian authorities have arrested nine Iranians with over 100 kilos of heroin along the Indian coastline. Indian media reported that the heroin is worth over INR 500bn. It was reported that the suspects attempted to set their vessel on fire in order to destroy evidence. However, a team of the coast guard responded immediately and managed to take the 100 kilos of heroin and the nine Iranians into custody before the vessel sank.
