National drug prevention week begins today

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The national drug prevention week focusing on school children will begin from today (January 21). President Maithripala Sirisena will mark the opening ceremony in the Vidyananda Vidyalaya in Mulathivu. Director of the Presidential Task Force for drug prevention Dr. Samantha Kithalawaarachchi said that children will be educated on the negative effects of drug usage within the week.
