SLPP protest island wide calling for elections

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Several protests were organized by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna today (December 02) demanding for an election and against the speaker. There was a protest staged in front of the Mahaoya bus halt. The protesters marched from the Maha Oya Pradeshiya Saba to the Mahaoya bus stand along the main road. MP Parliamentarian Wimalaweera Dissanayake also participated in this protest. Another protest organized by the SLPP was staged at the Higurankgoda town today (December 02) demanding for an early election. Signatures were also collected for a petition. Similarly, at another protest staged in Madampe today, a programme was organized to collect signatures demanding for an election.
