Namal Kumara released an
audio tape containing a recording of
Ranjith Maddumabandara in relation to the
assassination plot of
President Maithripala Sirisena and the
Former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

President Maithripala Sirisena will chair the
Central Committee meeting of the
SLFP today (November 26).

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa in a
special statement yesterday (November 25) requested everyone to join hands to defeat the forces seeking to destroy the country by not holding elections.

summoned to the

No casualties were reported.

deployed to
investigate the
brutal murder of a
19-year old that took place in
Matara.

Minister Bandula Gunawardene said that the government is working on a
plan to
stop the depreciation of the rupee and
appreciate the rupee to Rs. 160 against the dollar within the year.
