COLOMBO (News 1st) – Addressing a press briefing today (November 17) UNP MP Wijepala Hettiarachchi called on members of Parliament who threw chili powder mixed with water and who also threw chairs and other objects at the speaker to specify their educational qualifications.
He challenged the particular MP responsible for all these acts and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa to come forward, claim the majority and support in conducting a vote peacefully.
UNP MP Wijepala Hettiarachchi made these comments at a press briefing held in the Temple Trees.
