Hirunika Premachandra denies corruption allegations

Colombo (News1st): MP Hirunika Premachandra arrived at the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) on Wednesday (October 17) to hand over a letter. Speaking to the media after visiting the FCID, the MP once again denied allegations that she had obtained a sum of Rs 20mn from the Maga Neguma Development funds. She added that she handed over a letter to the Director of FCID to inquire if anyone had lodged a complaint alleging that she has obtained money. MP Premachandra went on to note if there is a complaint she will request them to publish it. "I have not been summoned yet," said Hirunika adding that she came here to request the FCID to summon her and inquire into this.
