Rainfall of 100 mm to be expected in several areas

Colombo (News1st): The Department of Meteorology forecast showers or thundershowers in most parts of the island particularly in the evening or night. Department predicts showers or thundershowers in Colombo, Kalutara, Galle, and Matara districts. Heavy falls above 100 mm can be expected at some places in the Uva, Sabaragamuwa, Western, Southern, Central and North-central provinces. According to the Met Department, there may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.
