Colombo (News1st): The Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara had ordered for the investigations on the DIG in charge of the Police Terrorist Investigation Division to be handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department. Police Media Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara said the Prime Minister has also called in for a report on the matter. The IGP addressing the students of the Kotapola National School in Matara on Friday (September 14) stated that if he's not an exemplary person to lead the Sri Lanka Police which has a staff of over 100,000, people should let him know. He added that if that is the case he has no right to direct others to the right path and if a person is not acting according to the accepted norms and standards, they will never have the right to advise someone else.
